Dehradun, Uttarakhand – December 20, 2023:United Way India, a leading non-profit organization dedicated to empowering communities, today announced the successful distribution of 2300 ration kits to underprivileged families in the hilly districts of Uttarakhand. This initiative carried out in partnership with Dev Bhoomi Samiti, a local NGO, aims to alleviate food insecurity and provide much-needed support to vulnerable families during the winter months.
The ration kits, each containing essential food items like rice, lentils, cooking oil, and spices, were distributed to 2300 families across various remote villages in Uttarakhand. Mr. Satyam Chaudhary, representing United Way India, personally oversaw the distribution process, ensuring that the kits reached the intended beneficiaries.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Satyam Chaudhary emphasized the importance of such initiatives in addressing the needs of marginalized communities, especially during challenging times. He commended the dedication of Dev Bhoomi Samiti and its volunteers for their tireless efforts in reaching out to families in far-flung areas.
