In the rainy season, there is often a problem of water filling in Gurugram of Delhi NCR. To deal with this, the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has geared up. NHAI has held a meeting to ensure that there is no water-logging on the roads of Gurugram during the rainy season. In the meeting chaired by the NHAI chairman, several senior officers prepared the master plan.
Dhaulakuan, Subroto Park areas will be studied
It was decided in the meeting of NHAI that there will be a study of water logging in Dhaulakuan, Subroto Park area of Delhi. Along with this, a new strategy will also be made regarding traffic jams from Pataudi, Sohna, Rewari, Gurugram etc. Proper cleaning instructions have been given on all the routes of drainage. Apart from this, NHAI has also given strict orders regarding wrong turn, reverse straight vehicles.
Encroachment will be removed
In the meeting of NHAI, the removal of unauthorized occupation has been discussed in the meeting. Apart from this, discussion was also held on taking action on unauthorized cutting and illegal connections on the highway. As an immediate measure, water pumps will be installed in the low-lying areas so that water can be drained out better. Apart from this, the chairman of NHAI has advised all the government agencies to have better coordination. Along with this, it has also been asked to take immediate action on this issue.
Control room will be made for monitoring
The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has set up a control room to monitor heavy rains, jams, landslides and other reasons. This control room will work 24*7 during the entire monsoon season. The meeting was attended by the CEO of Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority, officials of Faridabad Metropolitan Authority, Manesar Municipal Corporation, MCD, Delhi Cantonment Board and NHAI.
