“Learn with Joy ,”is an initiative founded by H.E Vishnou Toolcanon continues its transformative journey of empowering underprivileged children in Africa through education. Recognizing the persistent need for educational resources and infrastructure, Secretary General H.E Vishnou Toolcanon and the dedicated team at WDP have been tirelessly working to uplift the education sector in Africa. Their unwavering determination and passion for social change have laid the foundation for a transformative impact on the lives of countless children through the “Learn with Joy ” campaign.
As a testament to the campaign’s ongoing success, “Learn with Joy and Water Energy For Peace” recently achieved a significant milestone with its implementation in Narok County, Kenya and ASEMBO IFABS . The targeted government school in the region faced critical challenges, including a lack of access to clean water, inadequate restroom facilities, and a dilapidated infrastructure without electricity or proper furniture. Additionally, the students lacked essential stationary supplies, hindering their ability to learn effectively.
With the intervention project Water Energy For Peace, these challenges were comprehensively addressed, and sustainable solutions were provided. Solar panels were installed, ensuring a reliable source of electricity, while a borewell was implemented, supplying the school with clean and fresh water. New, modernized washrooms were constructed for the convenience and hygiene of the students. The project also undertook significant infrastructural renovations, transforming the school environment into a conducive space for learning. Furthermore, stationary supplies were distributed to every student, ensuring they have the necessary tools to excel academically.
The impact of the intervention through “Learn with Joy” was immediate and profound. Students who once struggled to study in inadequate conditions now have access to a conducive and well-equipped learning environment. The provision of clean water and proper sanitation facilities has improved their overall health and well-being. The availability of stationary supplies has unleashed their creativity and engagement in the learning process. The transformation has not only uplifted the students but has also inspired the teachers and the local community.
