Nava Durga Yagam – Dravya Samarpanam and Ghosha Yatra

Hyderabad, October 2023: Nava Durga Yagam – Dravya Samarpanam and Ghosha Yatra in the run upto the Nava Durga Yagam, the Dravya Samarpanam and Ghosha Yatra was held on Sunday, 8th October. The Nava Durga Yagam will be held on 13,14 and 15th October at the Ratnalayam Sree Venkateshwara Temple, near Shamirpet.

 The Ghosha Yatra began on Sunday morning from the Ayyappa Temple, Kamalanagar then moved on to the Ayyappa temple at Lal Bazar and then Ayyappa Temple at Bolarum. Hundreds of devotees formed a part of the Ghosha Yatra which reached the venue pf the Nava Durga Yagam at Ratnalayam Sree Venkateshwara Temple near Aliabad Crossroads in Shamirpet.

 The Dravya Samarpanam commenced with the offering of Turmeric and Dharbha on sheet of pattu cloth which was followed by other offerings at the Yagasala. All these offerings form a part of the commitment made by devotees for the Nava Durga Yagam and Annadanam.

 Brahmashri Narayan ji Mandaleshwar, Shri Unnikrishnan Namboodri, Shri TR Venkatesh and Shri Madhavan Namboodri and others participated in this function.

 The Nava Durga Yagam is an opportunity to participate in an exceptional, extraordinary and transcendental rituals to remove the nine main forms of human distress in a divine way.

 The Yagam is conducted mainly to overcome the eight main forms of human distress and bring overall prosperity in a divine way in 36 Homa Kundas and facilitates the direct participation of 112 devotees in each Yagam.

 Goddess Durga’s nine forms will be worshiped in three days of the Yagam, with devotion during the Nava Durga Yagam.

 Goddess Durga is a symbol of combined masculine power and feminine cosmic force. She represents Goddess earth (Bhoomi) and Goddess Parvathy (Shakthi) as described in Sri. Lalitha Sahasra Nama. Goddess Durga is the energy of purity and prosperity and she governs the entire universe.

Yagam 2: Brahmacharini Yagam, 13th Oct, 9:30 am

Yagam 3: Chandraghanda Yagam, 13th Oct, 11:30 am

Yagam 4: Kushmanda Yagam 14th Oct 7:30 am

Yagam 5: Skandamatha Yagam 14th Oct 9:30 am

Yagam 6: Kathyayani Yagam 14th Oct 11:30 am

Yagam 7: Kalarathri Yagam 15th Oct 7:30 am

Yagam 8: Maha Gouri Yagam 15th Oct 9:30 am

Yagam 9: Maha Siddhitha Yagam 15th Oct 11:30 am

 Towards the conclusion of the Yagam rituals on 15the October 2023 at 5pm, as part of ‘Poornahuti’, will be conducted ‘Ekatma Sahasra Sahasrarchana to be realized by 1008 women devotees.

 Each Yagams will be performed in 36 Homa kundas with 336 participants (2 per family).
